EYFS phonics worksheet that helps Reception and Year 1 children spot the long oo sound in everyday words, contrasted with the short oo sound.
A reminder at the top notes that the oo digraph can sound long like moon or short like book. Children then fill the missing long oo into thirteen pictured words: roof, boot, moon, tooth, stool, zoo, pool, root, room, tool, school, fool and shoot. The second task gives six sentences for children to complete with the correct long oo word, including the moon coming out at night, a wobbly tooth, dad asking for a tool, tidying a room, the first day of school and a school trip.
