The multiplication tables check is a statutory online assessment for every Year 4 child in England. Children answer 25 multiplication questions on a screen, drawn from the 2 to 12 times tables.
The check takes place during a three-week window in June 2026. Each child answers 25 questions with six seconds to type each answer.
