KS1 addition and subtraction worksheet that helps Year 1 and Year 2 children write four related addition and subtraction sums from a single pair of number bonds to 20.
The worked example shows how 15 and 5 generate four sums: 15 plus 5 equals 20, 5 plus 15 equals 20, 20 minus 15 equals 5 and 20 minus 5 equals 15. Children then do the same for three more pairs: 14 with 6, 8 with 12 and 11 with 9, filling in all four facts each time. To finish, they choose their own number pair that adds to 20 and write the four matching facts.
