KS2 non-fiction writing worksheet that helps Year 5 and Year 6 children plan and write a factual piece about their own life.
A short rule explains that an autobiography is a factual piece of writing about your own life and can include pictures, diagrams, photos, timelines and quotes. Children write their own autobiography on the lined pages provided, or on a fresh sheet of paper if they want to include extra elements. A printed checklist guides them as they write: past tense, first person, time connectives, key dates, paragraphs, chronological order, evidence from different sources (friends, relatives, teachers, documents, newspaper articles, videos and books) and quotes from other people.
Useful for KS2 writing units, classroom intervention or homework on biographical writing. Pair this with our non-fiction writing worksheets for KS2 ages 9 to 11 for related work. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
