KS2 place value worksheet that helps Year 3 and Year 4 children show two-digit and three-digit numbers as dots on an abacus split into hundreds, tens and units columns.
A short word bank reminds children of the terms units, tens and hundreds. They then work through twelve numbered tasks. The first six (23, 47, 18, 43, 70 and 66) cover two-digit numbers, where children draw dots in the tens and units columns then write the value of the underlined digit underneath. The next six (375, 678, 209, 499, 220 and 194) extend the same idea to three-digit numbers across hundreds, tens and units.
