Description
Place Value Cards
Improve children’s number and counting skills.
Place value cards help children learn about the value of each number. These place value cards can be used to make any number to 1000.
Each card needs to be cut out. The numbers need to placed on top of each other, with the points of the cards matching.
Once a number has been made e.g. a three digit number, children can use the cards to identify the value of each digit. A focus on units, tens and hundreds can be made. Children can identify how many units, tens or hundreds make up a number.
The place value cards can also be used to help children add or subtract multiples of 10 or 100. This is done by replacing the appropriate cards and identifying which cards need to remain.
