KS2 geometry worksheet that helps Year 3 and Year 4 children sort triangles by their side lengths and angles into four named types.
A short rule introduces the four triangle types with their key properties: equilateral (all sides and angles equal), right-angled (one 90-degree angle), isosceles (two equal sides and two equal angles) and scalene (all sides and angles different). Children look at fourteen labelled triangles on the page and colour each one a different colour for its type. They then sort the letters into a four-column table. To finish, they draw an example of each of the four triangle types on a separate piece of paper.
