KS2 non-fiction writing worksheet that helps Year 3 and Year 4 children plan and write three short paragraphs on the weather, learning that each paragraph holds one topic or main focus.
A short rule explains that a paragraph is a group of sentences about one topic, that a new paragraph means a new line and a slight indent at the start, and that the first sentence is the most important because it tells the reader what is coming. Children then choose a title and write three paragraphs of five or six sentences each: paragraph 1 on weather across the year, paragraph 2 on winter weather and paragraph 3 on how winter weather affects people. Pictures or diagrams are encouraged.
Useful for KS2 writing units, classroom intervention or homework on paragraphs. Find more non-fiction writing practice in our non-fiction writing worksheets for KS2 ages 7 to 9. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
