KS2 money worksheet that helps Year 3 and Year 4 children work out how much change is owed when paying with a £10 note.
A short note suggests a strategy: count on to the nearest pound first, then count the remaining pounds up to £10. Children then work out the change from £10 for eighteen amounts ranging from £9.50 down to £2.22, covering whole pounds, common decimals like £8.25 and trickier amounts like £6.95, £4.99 and £6.07. The mix gives plenty of practice with both quick mental change and more involved decimal subtraction.
Useful for KS2 SATs revision, classroom intervention or homework on money. See related work in our maths worksheets for KS2 ages 7 to 9. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
