KS1 shape worksheet that helps Year 1 children name 2D shapes by spotting them in a face.
The page lists the four shapes children need to know for this task, square, circle, triangle and rectangle, then shows a picture of a face built from those shapes. Children write the name of each shape that makes up the face features, including the face, eyes, nose, mouth, hair and ears, choosing from the labelled shapes. A second face gives them a different combination of shapes to name on their own.
Useful as an introduction to 2D shape vocabulary, a quick assessment of shape recognition or homework after a shape lesson. More shape and geometry work sits in the shape and measurement worksheets for KS1 ages 5 to 7. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
