KS2 money worksheet that helps Year 3 and Year 4 children add up the cost of fruit and vegetables, using a 5-a-day theme to set the scene.
A worked example shows £1.23 plus £0.29 written in column form and totalled to £1.52. Children first label each printed fruit and vegetable with a price from a bank of ten amounts (such as £3.62, £1.23, £0.78, £0.99, £1.08, £0.67, £0.29, £2.44, £1.19 and £0.80), using each price only once. They then build six different daily combinations of up to five items and add the totals, showing their working out clearly.
