KS1 money worksheet that helps Year 1 and Year 2 children work out how much change is owed when paying with a £2 coin.

A worked example walks through the counting-on strategy: from £1.65, add 10p three times to reach £1.95, then 5p more to reach £2, giving 35p change. Children then work out the change from £2 for fifteen amounts, ranging from full pounds (£1) and common decimals (£1.50, £1.45, £1.10 and £1.05) to trickier amounts including £1.32, £1.73, £1.28, £1.17, £1.08, £0.50, £0.80, £0.73, 36p and 89p. A tip suggests counting back if only a small amount has been spent.
