EYFS phonics worksheet that helps Reception children build their first three-letter words using twelve familiar phonics sounds (s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c and k).
Children first say each printed sound out loud, then trace four three-letter words built from those sounds: dog, pig, man and sad. Each word is printed across the row in tracing form so children get several attempts at the letter formation while reading the word. A closing prompt asks them to think of more three-letter words they can make from the same sounds.
Useful for daily phonics drills, classroom intervention or homework that doubles as handwriting practice. Browse our phonics worksheets for EYFS ages 4 to 5 for more phonics practice. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
