KS2 spelling worksheet that helps Year 3 and Year 4 children turn singular nouns into plurals by adding ies or ves.

A short rule reminds children that nouns ending in y often take ies (one lolly becomes some lollies) and nouns ending in f or fe often take ves (one scarf becomes two scarves). They then complete fourteen plurals across familiar nouns including jelly, wolf, diary, shelf, strawberry, half, wife, calf, baby, lorry, lady, knife, hoof and story. To finish, they rewrite three sentences, changing the underlined singular noun for a plural and adjusting the rest of the sentence to make sense.
