EYFS phonics worksheet that helps Reception children build five short rhyming words by adding a starting letter to the og rime.
A short rule reminds children that rhyming words end with the same sound. Children look at five pictures and add the starting consonant to the og rime to make dog (worked example), frog, jog, log and fog. They write each rhyming word in the space provided, then list all five rhyming words together at the bottom of the page.
Useful for early phonics, classroom intervention or parent-led practice at home. See related work in our phonics worksheets for EYFS ages 4 to 5. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
