A worked example shows 2507 times 8 set out in columns, working from the units up, with each carried digit written below the line and added on, finishing on an answer of 20056. Children then work through nine ThHTU short multiplication sums, including 2435 times 3, 5638 times 5, 8476 times 6, 3051 times 4, 2990 times 7, 4703 times 3, 6829 times 9, 3758 times 5 and 9099 times 8.
