KS2 division worksheet that teaches Year 4 to Year 6 children to divide larger two- and three-digit numbers using the chunking method.
Two worked examples show the method step by step. 387 divided by 5 is worked as 70 lots of 5 (350) subtracted from 387, then 7 lots of 5 (35) subtracted from the remaining 37, giving an answer of 77 remainder 2. 783 divided by 3 is worked as 200 lots, then 60 lots, then 1 lot, giving 261. Children then complete nine division sums of their own, including 439 divided by 6, 86 divided by 3, 745 divided by 4, 93 divided by 6, 356 divided by 7, 931 divided by 8, 504 divided by 3, 95 divided by 7 and 615 divided by 7.
