KS2 division worksheet that helps Year 5 and Year 6 children divide three-digit numbers by two-digit divisors using the traditional long division layout.
Two worked examples show the method in action: 296 divided by 14 equals 21 remainder 4 (using multiples 14, 28, 42 and 56), and 834 divided by 32 equals 26 remainder 2 (using multiples 32, 64, 96, 128, 160, 192 and 224). Children then complete twelve numbered long division sums of their own, dividing by 14, 18, 34 and 51. A tip suggests writing the multiples of the divisor on a separate piece of paper first.
Useful for KS2 SATs revision, classroom intervention or homework on written division. More division work sits in our maths worksheets for KS2 ages 9 to 11. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
