KS1 spelling worksheet that helps Year 1 and Year 2 children spell the twelve months of the year.

A reference banner at the top lists the months from January through December and reminds children that each month begins with a capital letter. Children then unscramble the mixed-up letters of each month, starting with the modelled example of June, working through January, March, December, August, November, April, February, October, September, July and May. A second task asks them to write the months in order starting with January, with a second go beneath, so they get repeated practice committing the sequence to memory. A final question asks them to write a sentence about the month their birthday is in.

Useful for spelling tests, classroom intervention or quick homework. More spelling work sits in the spelling and punctuation worksheets for KS1 ages 5 to 7. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
