KS1 spelling worksheet that helps Year 1 and Year 2 children turn singular nouns into plurals by adding es to words ending in s, x, sh or ch.
A short rule reminds children that brush becomes brushes and witch becomes witches. Children then write the plural for four nouns (church, bench, fox and bus), then draw a ring around the correct spelling from six paired choices like boxs versus boxes, watchs versus watches, frogs versus froges, dishs versus dishes, pizzas versus pizzaes and dresss versus dresses. To finish, they pick three of the words and write a sentence using each one.
Useful for KS1 SATs spelling revision, classroom intervention or homework on plural endings. Find more spelling practice in our spelling and punctuation worksheets for KS1 ages 5 to 7. Printable PDF, A4, downloads instantly after purchase.
